Ser Kurt Drennon
A hedge Knight in the service of House Blackwood
Born a smallfolk and knighted at a young age Ser Drennon spent most of his younger years wandering the 7 Kingdoms looking for employment. It wasn’t until Roberts Rebellion that Ser Drennon meet Tytos Blackwood. No stranger to war Ser Drennon was hired by House Belmore from the Veil and fought with them for Robert at the Trident. It was during that battle that Ser Drennon found himself fighting beside by Trenton and Tytos Blackwood. When Trenton was wounded Ser Drennon protected Tytos as he saw his injured brother into the afterlife. Tytos was so impressed with how Ser Drennon handled himself during the battle that afterwards he sought Ser Drennon out and asked Lord Belmore if he would release Ser Drennon from his service and into the employ of House Blackwood. Ser Drennon fought with House Blackwood through the Battle of the Bells and his valor quickly earned him a permanent place in House Blackwood. Ser Drennon was also fought in the Grayjoy Rebellion and rode with Ser Luther Blackwood. Though during the storming of the Pyke he never drew his sword claiming that their was no need for him to fight in such a one sided battle. Ser Drennon was once a very fit man but his age is beginning to catch up with him. Not overly large Ser Drennon’s unkempt beard and wild hair adds to his already an imposing demeanor. He is a cold man who is loyal Lord Tytos and has a pleasant respect for Lady Megan Blackwood and Nicholas Rivers but cares little for most of the serving staff or the younger members of House Blackwood. He views the younger member of House Blackwood as whimsical and uncaring and serves them only out of respect for Lord Tytos. His only real friend at Rivertree Hall is Nichols Rivers and after the death of Ser Drennon’s second wife several years back he and Nicholas can be found entertaining the young ladies of the house.
